Introspection

I need a break..
A break to relive, what is forgotten
A break to cherish, what is left behind
A break to celebrate, what lost the priority
A break to sing, the songs inside the heart
A break to love, people who deserves it
A break to tell, feelings untold
A break to vent, all my anger out
A break to fly, high in the sky
A break to visit, places unseen
A break to be, with people who matters most
A break to live, a life I want
And a break to meet, my usual self....

Recently I found my long lost diary in which I have compiled most of my poems during college days. It feels so good to find it and read it. It contains 15 poems in all, written mostly during 2009.

So happy to post them in my blog. Will try to post one poem a week (as time permits). The series is titled "अधूरी बातें". Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday Maa

This poem is dedicated to my mother.

Actually I didn't want to write a sad poem but was not able to control myself (I guess :P). Hope you enjoy this. :)

Waiting for the diary!!

Hey hello to all,

Well when I was in college, I used to write many poems (mostly in Hindi). We have time then. Lots of free time. :)

I have them documented in a diary and it is not with me. I am waiting for it. Therefore, stay tuned for more hindi poems.

Thanks....

Make a difference

Well, I agree I am not that experienced. I have not seen so much of world as people around me. But there is one thing which I notice, which is the cause of so many problems, so many issues in India. And that simple thing is "Lack of Respect".

People don't respect other people. Be it their caste, community, surname, job, knowledge or money; people are divided. And everyone has their own criteria of this division. Most of the people divide by religion (thanks to our politicians), then some by money and some by color.

This is not only for India, I guess. Every country has their own criteria of division of people. We believe in God but we too believe that God divides us, that God has created us all differently. Perhaps, this is true too. We all are different, we all are unique in our own way but the only thing which we forget is "respect" those differences.

Everyone has their share of problems and struggles in life. You never know what a person has suffered in life and how much he has worked to reach where they are. How much they are still struggling and what is the reason behind their silent smiles. We obviously can't help them but we should not discourage them either. Respect people around you. Respect your juniors, your colleagues, seniors, the maid that comes for cleaning, the shopkeeper who sells you milk, the grocery woman (and woman in all) and you can make a very small but positive difference in their life.

Make it a habit and we can make world a better place to live. We can stop communal riots, we can stop rape and we can stop many crimes. We are no better and no worse than people around us. Its just that circumstances has put us in places where we are. We are still struggling to get a better life and we will always be because we can never be satisfied. But in this process of never ending competition don't forget people are not as lucky as you are. And  try to show some respect to all people around you. And you know what, it costs nothing. :) :)

Happy Independence Day!!!

Happy Independence Day to all.

It’s been 66 years since we got freedom, and from the very first year the only question which comes into the mind of average people (Aam Janta) is “are we really independent??” Yes, I know this is a cliché now, but don’t you think we need answers.

India is free from British rule but now it is under “Politicians” rule. There are still only few people who are running India. I am not a supporter of any political party but I am only an average person, who is confused when I go to vote. Whom should I vote? Nobody is good enough to run a vast and culturally diverse country like India. What should I do? And no one has the answers. It is easy to say “please, vote” but my question is “please tell, whom I should vote? Who is not corrupt? Who is a true Indian if one exist?”

Daily on many social media platforms there are post about India and its issues. How some people are ruining our country and how we should do something? There are advertisements that we should take some steps to free our country from all the corruption. But tell me can we actually do something? Believe it or not, candle light marches and fasts are no option. We don’t need Gandhi steps, we need Bhagat Singh steps, but can we do this? I don’t think so. We are afraid, not for us but for our family. We are afraid, how our steps and decisions will affect them in a country where people are put to jail due to some status update on Facebook.
Girls are raped on streets and people don’t do anything, people are met with accidents and we are just mute observers, why? Not because all humanity is lost but because we are afraid. We are scared of the police and the law system itself. We don’t know when we will be dragged into something only because we helped someone. We don’t know, when we will be framed for some false charges. This is the present situation and this is the truth.

I know this will sound bitter to many ears but we all think lets go to office silently. Lets complete our daily chores and live silently and pray that nothing happens to us and our family and alas we don’t have any other option.

This post is not answer to your questions, but this post is question to all the Indians that what should we do? This is the time when nobody wants to send their children to army, as one day they will be killed for nothing and “nothing” will happen afterwards. They will be forgotten. At max, you will be given few lakhs to forget them.

And now we celebrate 66th Independence Day. I wonder what Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose and likes will feel when they see India in 2013.

Happy Independence Day to all.

Friendship Day Special!!!

Happy Friendship's Day to ALLLLLLL.....

Today, on friendship's day, I am writing after a long time for all my friends out there. This is especially for all of you.

Friends are the most priced possession one can have in their life. They may be complete strangers, your spouse, your parents or even your relatives. It is just those persons who are close to your heart and with whom you can share almost everything without any fear or embarrassment. I am blessed to have some very good friends in my life who made me a better person and who made me what I am today.

And most importantly, friendship is the first step to love also [as in my case :-)].

I would like to thank all of you. You guys are really special. And this is for all of you.

We all know distance never separates two hearts and that is the case with some of you. All my friends who are not here with me; they are still in my heart and I miss you all a lot.

Mohammad Ali once said, "Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything."
And that is so true. I learned the actual meaning of friendship from few of my friends; and I thank them for making me believe in it (friendship).

They taught me how to be good friends, how to trust people, how to stand for your friends, how to set all wrongs right, how to sometimes just listen and how to encourage and motivate them. One of them even taught me how to avoid some unavoidable circumstances ;-).

In the end, I just want to say, thanks all for being in my life and be with me always..

A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.
